From May 14 to 17, 2026, the 5th National Metamaterials Conference was held in Jinan. Liquid gating materials from Professor Hou Xu's team at Xiamen University were selected as one of China's Top Ten Metamaterials Advances 2026 in the technology innovation category.

Scientists from Xiamen University and partner institutions published anti-gravity confined interface self-assembly research in Nature Communications. GIFT liquid gating technology provides key support for in-situ characterization of nanofilms.

In November 2025, GIFT products were presented at the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center directors' meeting, where the liquid gating intelligent testing analyzer received strong recognition from participating experts.
